Sale Day

It was a beautiful weekend in Ericson, Nebraska at the Pitzer Ranch.  As many of you know we took our horse Dusty to their spring sale.  (Saying Good-Bye to Dusty)

On the way there, we say some folks moving cattle right down the road!  Friday was bright and warm at the sale preview.  It was an all day event and there were lots of people there.

Just a few of the trailers parked in the field. Most of them camped overnight like us.

Quite a crowd and amazing horses at the preview.

Saturday was sale day,it was a very long day, but so cool to see all the beautiful horses go through the sale ring.  By the time Dusty went through it was about 9pm.

Several people were interested in a quiet, good-looking horse like Dusty and all of the people we talked to about him would have given him a good home,  Knowing this made me feel better about letting him go.   As it turned out, the good folks camped next to us became his new family.

We left Ericson at about 10 pm and drove. all. night.  Ugh!  What an exhausting 6 hours that was!

All in all it was a good trip.  It’s always nice for Jonesy and I to get away even if it is for business.

We have a couple of “projects” in the works that we may be able to take to next years spring sale…I’ll keep ya posted on that.

Thanks for reading,

-Lori
