Nice to see BALES. I grew up in Gunnison CO with haystacks. I used to work in the fields for the summer haying season driving horse powered sickle’s, rakes, and stack lifters. But the change over to power equipment came quickly. Gunnison was in a sort of time warp for some of the ranchers [purists I guess at heart–or reserved]. But motor driven haying only replaced the cutting, raking but not the stacking. There were very few hay barns around and it hay was too wet it was best to have big piles of hay scattered around the field rather that to loose it all in one or two big fires.
